National Coffee Day Hop (+GIVEAWAYS!)

29 Sep

Today is one of the best days of the year…why?  Because it’s National Coffee Day!!  I was an inaugural design team member for Coffee Loving Cardmakers so when Amy asked if I’d join the National Coffee Day Hop of course I had to say yes! 🙂  You should have arrived from Terri or you can start at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog!

There are tons of fabulous prizes up for grabs on this hop so make sure you check out all the stops!  You can find the list of hop stops and all the prizes at the bottom of my post!

I decided to use a quirky color palette for my autumn coffee card!  To start I stamped the Barnwood background stamp from Concord & 9th onto a piece of kraft cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Next I die-cut the Stitched Leaves and Mini Stitched Leaves from Lawn Fawn with white cardstock.  Then I blended dusty concord, mustard seed, peacock feathers, wild honey, and spiced marmalade distress ink around the edges of each leaf.

Next I stamped the cup from Thanks a Latte with intense black ink and colored it with copics.  I stamped the liquid inside of the cup with walnut ink and then outlined the foam with the Hero Arts lacquer pen.  I sprinkled it with white puff embossing powder and heat-embossed it to create puffy foam!  I die-cut the Scripty Thanks sentiment with black cardstock and then stamped the rest of the sentiment on black cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder.  I trimmed it down to a thin label strip and then adhered the leaves and label over the woodgrain background.  Next I added the thanks word and cup with foam mounting tape!  Finally I added a little spectrum noir clear sparkle to the cup!

There are over $400 worth of prizes that are hidden among the following designers that are joining us today.  Leave a comment on this post as well as comment along the way for a chance to win!  Commenting will be open through Saturday, October 6th at 11:55 pm pacific.  Winners for the prizes will be posted on Monday, October 8th.  Here are the prizes up for grabs:

  • CAS-ual Fridays Stamps – $25 Gift Code
