Lil’ Inker Designs: October Release – Day 2 (+GIVEAWAY!)

18 Oct

Good morning and welcome to the October 2017 release for Lil’ Inker Designs!  We’re introducing a bunch of gorgeous holiday stamps and dies and they’re all available right now!  I love that Laura doesn’t make you wait to shop the new release so I totally understand if you want to go shop now, but make sure you come back and comment for a chance to win the entire October release!  That’s correct…one lucky commenter will win everything!  There’s more details on how to win at the end of my post!  Today I’m sharing three cards I created for this release!

The first one uses a few leftover watercolored poinsettias from yesterday’s card and the adorable critter from Season’s Greetings!  I colored him with copic markers and die-cut him with the coordinating die.  Then I added a little spectrum noir clear sparkle to his hat and scarf and a few accents with white gel pen.  I die-cut the Merry Christmas Border die from white cardstock and then layered the otter and poinsettias behind the die.  Next I ran the Quilted Stitched So Sunny die from dark blue cardstock and adhered it behind the sentiment.

My second card uses the fun Rowdy Reindeer set!

This set can easily coordinate with the Moody Santa set from last year but I decided to focus on the reindeer as I love his funny faces!  I stamped him onto kraft cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed him with clear embossing powder.  I stamped the snowflakes from Rustic Christmas and heat-embossed them with white embossing powder.  Then I simply trimmed the panel down and layered it onto some festive holiday patterned papers.  Finally I added nuvo crystal drops to give Rudolph a bright red nose! 😉

My last card uses a great new word die from our release!

I also wanted a fun non-traditional color palette for this card so I decided to use pink, teal, and navy!  I die-cut the Stitched Woodgrain cover-up die from white cardstock, trimmed it down to 4″ by 5.25″, and adhered it to a pink card base.  Next I adhered a strip of pink, teal, and navy cardstock to a piece of white copy paper and ran the Noel word die through my Big Shot.  I swiped the edge of the antlers with versamark and heat-embossed them with gold tinsel embossing powder.  Finally I adhered the sentiment to the card panel and covered it with a layer of nuvo crystal glaze for a little shine and dimension!

And that’s it for day 2!  I’ll be back tomorrow with more! 😉

You should have arrived from Jennifer and Karen is your next stop.  If you get lost you can find the full hop list below!  Leave a comment on each stop along the hop and one lucky commenter will win the entire October release!  Good luck!

Happy hopping!!

I truly love all of these cards. Loving the otter on the first card, withe the die cut in front of him. That worked out perfectly! The rowdy reindeer just cracks me up, so I love how that one turned out. The third is one of my favorites from the hop so far! I love how it stands out and how that Noel die cut really shines – figuratively and literally – on that card!

These cards are so great for Christmas! I love how you combined old and new products to create the first card. The sentiment on the second is really funny. The noel die looks great cut out of different colors of card stock. That idea is very clever!
