Lil’ Inker Designs: October Release – Day 3 (+GIVEAWAY!)

19 Oct

Good morning and welcome to the final day of the October 2017 release for Lil’ Inker Designs!  We’re introducing a bunch of fabulous holiday stamps and dies and they’re all available right now!  Today I’m sharing the last three cards I created for this release!

The floral image from Vintage Christmas Wreath is perfect for coloring and I decided to try it with colored pencils!  I started by stamping the image with white pigment ink using my MISTI to give me an outline of the image for easy coloring.  Then I put down a layer of white colored pencil and then added colors.  You could also do this without the white layer but the colors wouldn’t end up quite as bright!  Once I was done coloring I put the panel back into my MISTI and stamped it again with versamark before heat-embossing it with gold embossing powder.  I stamped the sentiment and heat-embossed it with the same gold embossing powder.  Finally I trimmed the panel down and layered it with white and dark red cardstock!

My last two cards are easy mass-produceable cards when you need to quickly build your Christmas card stash!

I started by die-cutting a white cardstock panel with the Silly Stitched dies and then swiped green dye inks to create an ombre Christmas tree shape.  I wasn’t aiming for perfection here…and I really love how it turned out!  I die-cut the Christmas Words Tree die from red cardstock to suggest tree trimmings and adhered it over my tree.  I also die-cut it from yellow cardstock and cut off the star to add it to my card.  I added a little spectrum noir clear sparkle to the star and that was it!

My final card is quite colorful but also CAS! 🙂

I just wanted to play with the Peace Love and Joy set and used pigment inks to create a non traditional holiday palette.  I used pigment inks so that I could stamp on kraft cardstock and then layered the panel on pink and white cardstock.  Easy peasy! 🙂

And that’s it for the October release!  Here’s one more look at all the cards I created for the release!

You should have arrived from Jennifer and Karen is your next stop.  If you get lost you can find the full hop list below!  Leave a comment on each stop along the hop and one lucky commenter will win the entire October release!  Good luck!

Happy hopping!!
