Altenew October Release Blog Hop (+GIVEAWAYS!)

11 Oct

Busy day on the blog!  For my Simon Says Stamp Fun and Festive Blog Hop post please scroll down or click here!

Today I created three clean and simple holiday cards!  I always try to have a few mass-produceable designs every year for the inevitable time I need a quick card!  My first card uses the absolutely gorgeous Brilliant Baubles set!

It’s rare that I create a one layer card but with intricate designs as beautiful as these all you need is ink!  I used Frosty Pink, Cotton Candy, Coral Berry, and Ruby Red to stamp my layered images and added the trendy sentiment in Ruby Red ink!

For my next pair of cards I focused on the smaller sets for these designs!

For the first card I masked off part of the panel and stamped the Poinsettia Pieces in various shades of grey inks.  Then I stamped the sentiment from an older set: Holiday Wishes.  For the second card I stamped the bottom layer of the flowers onto the panel with versamark and heat-embossed them with white embossing powder.  Then I added the second layer with versamark and gold embossing powder.  I stamped the sentiment from Brilliant Baubles onto the panel and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder!  Simple but these will definitely be designs I reach for when the holidays get busy! 😉

To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to six lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog by October 17th, 2018 for a chance to win. Six winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on October 20th, 2018.

And, there’s even more good news! 😉 EVERY stop on the hop is giving away a $30 gift certificate so the more you comment, the more chances you have to win!  Please leave your comments by 11:59PM EST on October 16th and the winner will be announced on the 17th!

You should have arrived from Therese’s blog and Reiko is your next stop!  You can also find the full hop list on the Altenew Card Blog!

If you’ve gotten all the way to the end of my super long post, thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the hop!  If this is your first time at my blog I hope you’ll consider subscribing via the sidebar on the right or visiting me on Youtube or Instagram!  Have a fabulous crafty week, friends! 🙂

What fabulous monochrome looks. I love seeing uses of the smaller stamps, because they so rarely get love. Thanks for sharing these great ideas with us!

Great cards. I love how you didn’t choose tradition red and green for the baubles. Thanks for sharing your time and talent with us.

These are such pretty holiday cards. This new release from Altenew has such a great variety of designs; I especially like the ones that will make it easy to mass produce cards.

I always like ideas for mass-produced cards, and yours fit that bill! Love the way you did the ornament card, and I also like the non-traditional grays for the poinsettias! Thanks for your inspiration.

Beautiful cards! Love that you used the poinsettia pieces stamp set and made stunning cards with it. I appreciate that Altenew made some smaller stamp and die sets that don’t cost a lot. It allows those of us that need to watch our money to get something new and not feel guilty. It would be awesome if they had 1 or 2 sets like this in each release. Beautiful one layer bauble card too. I agree that with the intricate details all you need is ink for their beauty to shine!

All three cards are awesome, I do love quick & easy (as I call it lol). I love the pink/red combination on the Brilliant Baubles, the black and gold card is very elegant. These definitely will be in my stash this year, thanks for the inspiration. (mardy14@bellsouth.net)
