Christmas Card Challenges #16: Anything Goes

22 Mar

It’s the end of the month so it’s time for Anything Goes at Christmas Card Challenges!  Here’s my card!

I love this Smiling Snowflakes stamp set from Create A Smile Stamps and I thought it’d be fun to use the naughty or nice sentiment to create a spinner card!

I started off by cutting two circles of Neenah Solar White cardstock.  I stamped the nice and naughty snowflakes on each circle, brushed the center with clear wink of stella, and then added glossy accents and set them aside to dry.  I took an A2 top-folding card base of Neenah Solar White cardstock and temporarily adhered a 4″ by 5.25″ panel of Simon Says Stamp Soft Navy cardstock to the front.  Then I ran the whole piece through my Big Shot and cut a circle from the top third of the card.  Then I removed the blue panel from the card base.  I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and then heat-embossed it with Ranger silver ink.

Once the snowflakes were dry I ran a doubled-up piece of embroidery thread between the circles and adhered them together with a thick layer of tape from my ATG gun.  I ran the thread between the card base and blue panel before permanently adhering them together.  Finally I cut a frame from two circle dies and adhered it to the top of the blue panel.  Here’s the “naughty” snowflake!  Before sticking the card into an envelope I will turn the snowflake circle 7-10 times so when someone lifts the top of the card, the snowflakes will spin!

I really enjoy the Anything Goes challenges because you all come up with some amazing cards!  I can’t wait to see your creations!  Visit the rest of the design team for more inspiration and check out our Facebook page…you just might see your card there!
