Hero Arts + Reverse Confetti Partners Release Blog Hop (+GIVEAWAY!)

18 Feb

Hero Arts is celebrating 45 years and counting. To honor our beloved industry, we have teamed up with some of our favorite friends, and have together released co-branded designs focused on friendship, giving, and community.  Today we’re teaming up with Reverse Confetti!

Born with creativity in her blood, Ellie, daughter of Reverse Confetti owner, Jen del Muro, designed this uplifting and versatile multi-step floral Better Together set for the Hero Arts Partner collaboration. Both have a passion for equality and equity, and proceeds from the Better Together stamp set will be donated to the Human Rights Campaign. We hope that this stamp set will inspire you to create beautiful cards for those that you care for and love.

I love the floral images in the Better Together set but I decided to take a different direction today and show you another way to use those fun shapes!

Better Together by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero Arts and Reverse Confetti

For my card duo today I used a single 8.5″ x 11″ panel of white cardstock and two ink pads: Soft Pool and Ocean.  I used an acrylic block to stamp the pattern across the entire panel.  I did my best to keep it aligned but didn’t stress if it wasn’t perfect.  I alternated between Soft Pool and Ocean for each line. The stamp creates a really fun pattern across the panel.  After I finished I trimmed the cardstock down to two A2 panels and just changed the orientation of the pattern.

Next I trimmed a piece of vellum down to 3.75″ by 5″.  I stamped a sentiment from Better Together with embossing ink and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder.  Then I used vellum adhesive and a little liquid glue to adhere the vellum to the patterned panel to finish the cards.  And that’s it!  You could use most of the stamps in the set to create patterns like these which is just a fun way to stretch your stamps further!

To celebrate the release we giving away TWO $50 gift cards to lucky commenters!  Leave a comment on all the hop stops by Thursday, February 25th at 11:59pm PST and one winner will be chosen randomly from a hop stop and announced next week on the Hero blog!!  You should have arrived from Ilina and Libby is your next stop!

Thanks so much for stopping by, have an amazing day, and enjoy the hop!
