Heffy Friends Inspiration Blog Hop (+GIVEAWAY!)

8 Jun

Good morning!  Today I’m thrilled to be hopping along with some crafty friends to celebrate the new release from Heffy Doodle!  We have lots of crafty inspiration and a fun giveaway so be sure to check out the hop at the bottom of this post!

Today I used the fun Heart Pencil dies and a little borrowing of other sentiments to create a clean and simple rainbow card!

Heart Pencil by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Heffy Doodle

I started by die-cutting the pencils with white cardstock and coloring them with copic markers.  I used three markers for each color and E30, E31, and E34 for the wood grain.  These are the colors I used:

  • Pink – RV13, RV14, RV25
  • Red – R35, R37, R39
  • Orange – Y32, Y35, Y38
  • Yellow – Y11, Y13, Y15
  • Green – G02, G03, G05
  • Teal – BG11, BG13, BG15
  • Blue – B02, B05, B06
  • Indigo – BV02, BV13, BV04
  • Violet – V12, V15, V17

Once I was done coloring I die-cut the outline from an A2 panel of white cardstock and inlaid all the pieces.  Then I stamped part of the sentiment from Highland Honeys onto black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder.  I die-cut the rainbow word from the Rainbow Builder die set and trimmed off the s.  I die-cut it twice from black cardstock and once from black sapphire glitter cardstock and adhered them together to create a thick chipboard-like sentiment.  I added it with liquid adhesive and the label sentiment with foam mounting tape.  Finally I added a little nuvo crystal glaze to the pencil tips to finish the card with a little extra shine!

And that’s it for me!  Keep hopping for lots of crafty inspiration!

To celebrate Heffy Doodle is giving away a £50 voucher to the shop!  Leave a comment on this stop and all the other hop stops before 11:59 PM EST on June 14th, 2021 to be entered in the giveaway! You should have arrived from Laura and Amy is your next stop!  You can start from the beginning or find the full hop list on the Heffy Doodle blog!

Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the hop!!

Oh I now have to purchase the coloured crayons – you made them “pop” so I could see them in so many cards and scrapbook pages. Much thanks!
