Baby Shower Blog Hop for Carly!

27 Jun

Hello and Happy Saturday!  Today I’m thrilled to be hopping along with the Ellen Hutson Ambassadors to celebrate sweet mommy-to-be, Carly!  You can find all the hop stops over on the Ellen Hutson blog here!

I honestly don’t have a lot of baby themed stamps so I looked through my stash to see what I could make work for a baby card and found one of my older Ellen Hutson sets: G’Day Mate.  G’Day Mate is discontinued but it was released several years ago as a United We Flourish collaboration between Ellen Hutson and Avery Elle and it’s one of my all-time favorite critter sets!

Congratulations by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Ellen Hutson

I stamped the cute koalas with copic-friendly black ink and colored them with copic markers before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies.  I also stamped the sentiment from Totally Random Sayings Vol. 3 and trimmed it down to a thin label sentiment.

Congratulations by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Ellen Hutson

Next I blended blueprint sketch, shaded lilac, and peacock feathers distress oxide ink onto a panel of strathmore bristol cardstock before die-cutting it with the Scallops die.  I used the negative to line up the scallops on a panel of kraft cardstock and then added my koala pair and sentiment with foam mounting tape!  Huge congratulations and big hugs to you, Carly!  I wish we could celebrate in person but since that’s not possible these days I hope this hop makes you smile!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a fabulous weekend! 🙂

Jess, the momma & baby koala make the perfect card for the soon to be awesome duo! So nice that all of Carly’s frinds/coworkers wanted to have a shower for her and spend some ko-ality time with her.

Oh Jessica, this is just so very sweet! You have a mama & baby koala that I think are perfect for a baby card. You are all so thoughtful to arrange this virtual shower for her during this time of physical distancing & I’m sure she is thrilled. Congratulations Carly & Shaun!
