25 Days of Christmas Tags: Lawn Fawn

24 Nov

Good morning!  Today I’m thrilled to be joining Tracey McNeely for her 25 Days of Christmas Tags event and I’m excited to represent Lawn Fawn as one of the designers for the Lawn Fawnatics challenge team!

And here’s my tag:

Here Comes Santa Claws Christmas Tag by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Lawn Fawnatics

To start I blended Abandoned Coral, Worn Lipstick, and Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink onto a piece of white cardstock.  When it was dry I die-cut it with the Stitched Circle Tag die.  I also stamped the sentiment from Christmas Fishes onto the tag with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Then I die-cut the Palm Tree Border from gold glitter cardstock and die-cut it a second time with the Stitched Circle Tag before adhering it to the blended background.

Next I stamped the gifts and the crab from Christmas Fishes onto white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder.  I colored them with copics in shades of red and warm grey and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies.  I added them to the my tag with ATG adhesive and then finished it with black ribbons and a little kraft and gold twine!

If this is the first you’re hearing of Tracey’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event make sure to head here to read all about it and enter your tags for a chance to win a prize from one of these fabulous sponsors:

Thanks so much for visiting today and have a fantastic day!

What a darling tag, Jess. I try not to get “crabby” at Christmas, but the stress gets to me. Thanks for sharing your inspiration and talents in the 25 Days of Christmas Tags.
