Good morning!! It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics challenge and we have a really fun challenge for the holiday season! I can’t wait to see what you’ll create!!
Here’s what I created:
To say 2020 has been an unprecedented year is a bit of an understatement at this point; but, as we’re headed into a holiday season unlike any other, I thought this card would be a perfect way to tell those loved ones you might not be able to see this year how much you love and miss them. It’s my cheery version of a zoom call between all these Lawn Fawn friends! To start I stamped images from Yeti or Not, Cheery Christmas, Den Sweet Den, Love You a Latke, Christmas Fishes, and Upon a Star. I colored them with copic markers and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies. For the reindeer I die-cut the roof and lights from Build-a-House Halloween and Build-a-House Christmas and colored them with copics. Next I created backgrounds for each scene by blending distress oxide inks onto strathmore bristol smooth cardstock. Moving clockwise from the top left I used Abandoned Coral and Picked Raspberry; Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot; Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold, and Abandoned Coral; Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon, and Salty Ocean. I die-cut the panels with the Foursquare Landscape Backdrop and added splatters of water and white gouache to the different panels to create the scenes.
Next I die-cut the Four Square Landscape Backdrop with Fog cardstock and adhered it to a white cardbase. I adhered the critters to each blended rectangle and then trimmed off the excess before adhering them inside the backdrop. I used foam mounting tape to add the critters from Upon a Star (as if they’re watching a computer screen) and then added a sentiment from Long Distance Hugs. Long Distance Hugs was an incentive set offered this summer but you could create a similar sentiment using Winter Skies or Harold’s ABCs! Finally I finished the card by adding white gel pen accents, a little glitter, and some nuvo crystal glaze!
And now it’s your turn! I can’t wait to see what you create!! You can link up your entries on the Lawn Fawnatics blog!
Thanks so much for visiting and have an amazing day!
