Good morning!! It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics challenge and it’s my favorite challenge of the year! I can’t wait to see what you’ll create!!
And here’s what I created:
I was inspired by one of my favorite childhood books and movies: Anne of Green Gables. I recently finished the Netflix adaptation, Anne with an E, so it was on my mind! I started by stamping the girl from Tiny Friends, the cherry trees from Tree Before ‘N Afters, and the house, gate, and small trees from Happy Village with copic-friendly black ink. I colored them with copic markers and die-cut them with the coordinating dies.
Next I die-cut the Sunburst Backdrop die from strathmore bristol smooth cardstock and blended it with mustard seed, scattered straw, and squeezed lemonade distress oxide ink to create my sky. Then I used the Slimline Simple Hillside stencil to blend twisted citron, mowed lawn, and lucky clover distress oxide ink onto a second panel of bristol cardstock. I die-cut that panel with the Simple Hillside Border die and then adhered them together. Then I ran the two panels through my die-cutting machine with the Large Slimline die to create my stitched slimline card.
I stamped that memorable quote from Anne of Green Gables along the hills with Milo’s ABCs and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I arranged the rest of my scene to create my version of Avonlea!
And now it’s your turn! I can’t wait to see what you create!! You can link up your entries on the Lawn Fawnatics blog!
Thanks so much for visiting and have an amazing day!

so sweet!!
Aww! It’s Green Gables! I haven’t watched the Netflix version yet… I’ve seen the originals about 57 million times, and I’m not sure I can roll with the changes! 🙂
Sweet card! Love the colors and details!
I have a movie in mind and I’m thinking on it to see if I can come up with an idea!
