Here’s what I created:

Hello Sweet Pea by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero Arts

I decided to play with the pretty watercolor paper in the kit for my hop card!  I started by tearing one of the 5″x7″ sheets by hand to expose the rough edge.  Then I stamped the sweet pea with versafine ink and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I watercolored the flowers using the Hero Arts Daniel Smith palette and then added an ombre wash of purple watercolor paint across the paper.

I set that aside to dry while I worked on the simple background.  I stamped the sentiment onto Lilac Layering Paper with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Then I trimmed the panel down to 4″ by 5.25″ and adhered it to a Snow folded card!  Simple but the rough paper really adds a beautiful textured effect!

To celebrate the release Hero Arts is giving away one kit as a prize to one blog reader selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win!  If you win and have already purchased the kit you will be reimbursed!  Here’s a list of all the stops on the hop:
