Waffle Flower Everyday Paper Release Blog Hop (+GIVEAWAYS!)

10 Apr

Good morning!  I’m exciting to be hopping today to introduce a new product from Waffle Flower: patterned paper packs!!  These papers were designed with cardmakers in mind and you’re going to love them!!  Waffle Flower paper pads measure a generous 5.5 inches by 8.5 inches (half-page of US Letter size). They settled on this size to give cardmakers more paper and less waste! Simply fold each page in half to make a standard landscape A2 card. Or trim a page in half to make two A2-sized card fronts. This larger size can also be used for A7-sized cards (5″x7″). The beauty of the unique page sizing allows for half-half designs. For even more details, visit their paper introduction page here.  There are nine paper packs available today and three sampler packs to allow you to see all the pretty colors!

I focused on the pretty Half and Half Dots Basics in the Unicorn palette for today’s card!  And what better to pair it with than the Be a Unicorn die! 😉

Be a Unicorn by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Waffle Flower

I die-cut all the elements of the Be a Unicorn die using paper from the Unicorn Dots paper pad and then I paper-pieced and adhered them together!  I did add gold glitter cardstock for the unicorn’s horn and black cardstock for his nose and eyes.  Then I die-cut the flower and leaves from Sprigs with the same paper pack and tucked them into the unicorn’s paw.  I love how this pad has the pastel dots on white or white dots on the various pastel colors.  And it also features slightly darker dots or backgrounds with the same colors for even more variation!  So pretty much each color has four different options which made it easy to use the three different white and pink variations for the majority of the unicorn’s body!

Next I figured out where I wanted to place the unicorn on my background panel and then arranged my sentiment around it.  I stamped the sentiment from Jars Sentiments with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Then I adhered my cute unicorn to the aqua dotted panel and adhered that to a white card base to finish the card!  And that’s it!  Simple but the paper really makes the card pop! 🙂

For today’s hop, Waffle Flower is giving away the entire Everyday Paper Bundle to THREE lucky winners. You can leave a comment on this blog and along the hop by 11:59pm EDT on April 12th, 2020 for your chances to win. Winners will be chosen at random from the comments left on any of the posts in this blog hop and will be announced on the Waffle Flower Blog on April 15th, 2020. You should have arrived from Cathy and Kelly is your next stop!

Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the hop!!
