Stamptember Concord & 9th Exclusive: Oh Hello

10 Sep

Good morning!  I am excited to introduce the next exclusive Stamptember collaboration set, Oh Hello, from Concord & 9th!  Simon Says Stamp’s exclusive collaboration stamp sets are available for a limited time only – while supplies last.  Once these sets sell out they will not be restocked again. So if you love this set I highly recommend placing your order soon!

I love the fun brushstrokes in this set along with the great scripty sentiments!  You can easily play with combining ink pads to create different color palettes and then finish it off with a bold sentiment…which is exactly what I did! 😉

Oh Hello by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Simon Says Stamp

I started by selecting one ink pad to base my card around and it happened to be Simon Says Stamp’s Hot Lips pink dye ink.  Once I knew that was my pop of color I set out to build a complimentary palette and ended up choosing Simon Says Stamp dye inks in Fog, Sea Glass, and Caribbean Blue.  I stamped the thin brushstroke with each color and then blasted it with a heat gun quickly to make sure the dye ink was totally dry.  Then I prepped it with a powder tool and selectively inked up the stamp with versamark.  I mostly swiped the versamark pad across the bottom right edge of the stamp and then restamped over each color.  In between each color I cleaned the stamp and inked it in a slightly different way so that it wouldn’t look the same.  Then I sprinkled it with platinum embossing powder, firmly tapped off the excess, and heat-embossed it to create sort of a rough metallic edge.

Next I stamped the sentiment with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Finally I added a few strawberry jewels to finish the card!  I love how effortless the brushstrokes look…like I just swiped the pad across the card! 😉
