Good morning! Today I’m sharing a video pairing alcohol ink backgrounds with beautiful stamped cakes from Gina K Designs to create a quartet of cards perfect for birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries!
You can watch the video below at at my YouTube channel!
To start I created alcohol inks using copic refills in R12, RV10, RV14, BG10, BG11, and B66 along with pinata brass metallic ink and isopropyl alcohol.
Then I stamped the cakes from Gina K Designs’ Cake Toppers set with versamark and heat-embossed them with gold glitter embossing powder. I also heat-embossed the platter and sentiments with the same glitter embossing powder on white and black cardstock and die-cut them all with the coordinating dies.
I also stamped and die-cut the layered flowers from the set using Altenew inks in pink pearl, coral bliss, coral berry, crimson, mountain mist, volcano lake, lagoon, and dusk to match the alcohol ink backgrounds. Then I used my life-changing blender brushes to blend the two softest shades on the bottoms and sides of my cakes.
I trimmed down the alcohol ink card panels and then arranged all my elements on top before adherinf them with a mix of ATG adhesive and connect glue! And that’s it! I love how one design and layout can create cards for a variety of occasions! And I really love how you can pair alcohol inks and dye inks to create designs that look like they were meant to be together! 🙂
Thanks so much for visiting and have an amazing day!
