Hero Arts December My Monthly Hero Countdown, Day 1

4 Dec

Good morning!  We’re starting the Hero Arts December My Monthly Hero Countdown today and I’m sharing a cheery using the fantastic new kit!

December My Monthly Hero Kit by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero Arts

Okay, so first off…you see that gorgeous layering heroscape?  And the fun window die?  And the fabulous sentiment? And the cloud dies?  ALL INCLUDED IN THE KIT!  Plus there’s an incredible sentiment die and four ink cubes with a few BRAND NEW COLORS!  This might just be my most favorite kit ever!  I mean 2020 has been kind of the worst and this kit gives me such hope for 2021!

To start I stamped the first solid sky layer with soft canteloupe and a little fresh tomato on the bottom, the cloud layer with soft vanilla and a little butterbar on the bottom, and the detail cloud layer with cotton candy ink!  Then I stamped the sun rays with soft vanilla and butterbar inks and the sun with butterbar.  I added the birds with intense-ified black ink and then trimmed the panel down to 4″ by 5.25″.

December My Monthly Hero Kit by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero Arts

I die-cut the window die from a card base of white cardstock and added the heroscape panel inside.  I stamped the sentiment on the front and then finished it by adding a few die-cut clouds to the window.  I love the little peek you get from the front of the card and then inside you have room to write your greeting under the sun!  I just love the feel of the whole kit and I cannot wait to share more with you on Monday!!!

And that’s it for me!  Head over to the Hero Arts blog for more inspiration using the December My Monthly Hero kit all weekend long!!  And then I’ll be back Monday with FIVE more cards using the kit!

For a chance to win a kit before you can buy it, just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post. We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts. The winner will be announced first thing Monday morning, December 7th, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Thanks so much for visiting and have a fantastic holiday weekend!
