Good evening! I hope you’ve had a wonderful holiday weekend and are ready for a little shopping! The Hello Summer release from Honey Bee Stamps is now available and it is full of must-haves! Stamps, dies, stencils, patterned paper pads, embellishments, plus a fabulous new glue pen and holder! You can find the new release here! I just adore the A7 Beach Scene Coverplate die and I paired it with a variety of cardstocks to create this simple but striking card!
I die-cut the cover plate die with different cardstocks including a white and gold glitter cardstock for a little texture variation. Then I applied adhesive to an A2 base and paper-pieced the cardstock together. The die cuts an A7 base but I decided to keep mine to an A2 size so I trimmed the overhang after all the pieces were adhered.
Next I added the palm tree and seabirds die-cut with cardstock from the Beach House Builder add-on set. I used the new Precision Tip Glue from Honey Bee Stamps and it’s awesome! It dries clear and matte and the fine tip is perfect for small images! I also love the new Glue Holder! I have a velcro dot on the bottom of the holder and on my desk. When I’m not recording a video I keep the holder attached securely to my desk. The top of the glue pen fits so securely in the glue holder that I can unscrew it with one hand when working which makes things so efficient!
I added a sentiment stamped from Sea Breeze and finished the card with white gel pen accents and a little crystal glaze on the coconuts! And now I’d love to transport myself to that tropical beach for the next week! 😉
