Jessica Lynn Original: Some Bunny Special Blog Hop and Giveaway!

7 Feb

jlo

Hi and welcome to the Some Bunny Special Blog Hop featuring Jessica Lynn Original stamps!  If you’re coming from Sharon’s blog, you’re in the right place!  The design team has created several projects featuring some of the stamps from her Some Bunny Special stamp set and we’re celebrating the release with a Blog Hop and a giveaway!

JessicaLynnOriginal_front_for_4x6Jan2015Launch_45626.1419188138.1280.1280__22138.1423314520.1280.1280Here’s what I created!

Jessica Lynn Original Some Bunny Special www.allthesparkle.comI stamped the tulip wreath with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Prismacolor pencils.  Then I went over the flowers and the ribbon with a clear wink of stella brush and glossy accents.  Once it dried completely, I fussy cut the image.  I’ve found that sometimes when you use glossy accents it will curl paper as it’s drying.  If you leave the image as part of a piece of cardstock (rather than cutting it out first) it seems to cut down on the curling.

Then I worked on creating a door.  It was actually more difficult to get the right dimensions for a door than I realized but I’m happy with the way it turned out.  I cut the pieces for the door, scored them around the edges to get a little texture and then inked the edges with Antique Linen distress ink.  I stamped the sentiment from the set with Versafine black ink on the bottom panel of the door.  Then I used foam mounting tape to raise the door panels off the door.  I added a knob with a black enamel dot and attached the wreath with foam mounting tape.  Finally I attached the door to a top folding card base…looking back I probably should have used a side folding card to go with the door theme…oops.

I was having so much fun with the set that I decided to make a second CAS card while I was at it!

Jessica Lynn Original Some Bunny Special www.allthesparkle.comFor this card I stamped the lily and sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored the lily with copic markers.  I decided to color it as a stargazer lily instead of the traditional Easter lily.  After I finished coloring the flower I went over it with a clear wink of stella brush and more glossy accents!  I rounded the bottom edges of the top folding card and the card was complete!

Your next stop on the hop is Jeanette Cloyd!  Make sure to leave a comment on each blog along the way in order to be eligible for the giveaway!  After the hop has ended Sunday evening, Jessica will select one random winner to receive a $25.00 gift certificate to her shop!
