Good morning! It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics challenge and we have a beautiful inspiration photo for you! I can’t wait to see all the gorgeous cards you will create!! 🙂
And here’s what I created!
I decided to go pretty literal with the challenge photo and decided to try stenciling two-toned clouds to match the inspiration photo! I used Dusty Concord, Blueprint Sketch, Faded Jeans, Milled Lavender, Dried Marigold, and Scattered Straw distress oxide inks and alternated between using an ink blending tool and a blending brush for different intensities of each shade. When I got to the change between the purple and yellow shades I made sure my panel was totally dry with a heat gun to lessen the change of the purple and yellow blending together. I also blended a panel of strathmore bristol cardstock with Chipped Sapphire and Faded Jeans distress oxide ink and let it dry completely.
Once the blue panel was totally dry I die-cut it with the Stitched Wave borders. The die isn’t sized for a slimline card so I can it halfway through my die-cutting machine and then rearranged the die and continued die-cutting so it would fit the long panel. I also stamped the sentiment from Wavy Sayings and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I die-cut the Puffy Cloud borders from vellum and the sun from white cardstock. I blended Squeezed Lemonade and Dried Lemonade distress oxide ink onto the sun and then arranged it with the clouds around the waves. To finish the card I added a few seabirds from Smooth Sailing stamped in jet black ink!
And now it’s your turn! I can’t wait to see what you create!! You can link up your entries on the Lawn Fawnatics blog!
Thanks so much for visiting and have a fantastic day!

She filled in with Puffy Cloud Borders cut from vellum. For the water she inked a Stitched Wave Border then added the sun from Spring Showers and stamped a few seagulls from Life is Good! […]
