Lil’ Inker Designs: July 2016 Release – Day 2

26 Jul

We are releasing coordinating dies for a previous stamp set, two stamp sets with coordinating dies, one cover up die, and four stand-alone die sets!  And the best news, everything is available right now!  So I won’t be at all offended if you head over to Lil’ Inker Designs and shop!  But then you should most definitely come back and hop along with the whole team for a chance to win one of three $15 gift certificates!  I’ll have the giveaway details and hop info at the bottom of my post!

Today I’m featuring the Boxed Up So Happy For You Greetings Die, the Everyday Word Tag dies, and the Doodled Daisies stamp set and coordinating dies!

I put together a quick video to show you these three products (unfortunately I didn’t have time for a tutorial for my cards) but I hope you enjoy this short introduction!

My first card uses the Doodled Daisies stamp set as an accent for the Boxed Up So Happy For You Greetings die!

I stamped the daisies on white cardstock with black ink and then ran the entire panel through my bigshot with the Silly Stitched die.  Then I die-cut the Boxed Up So Happy For You Greetings die with black, hot pink, and dark grey cardstock and paper pieced the die back together again before adhering it to the panel.  Finally I added a few black glossy sequins for a little sparkle.

For my second card I stamped the Doodled Daisies onto white cardstock with bright pink, yellow, and orange inks.  Then I stamped several of the large daisies onto a piece of vellum with versafine and heat-embossed them with white embossing powder.  I layered the vellum over the white cardstock and adhered it from behind.  Next I die-cut the Everyday Word Tag die with black cardstock and tied it onto to the card panel with black twine.  Finally I used a little adhesive to keep the sentiment die in place and mounted the panel onto a white card base!

So that’s it for today!  Make sure to come back tomorrow to see the rest of the July 2016 release!!

You should have arrived from the Joy and Heather is your next stop.  If you get lost you can find the full hop list below!  Leave a comment on each stop along the hop and three random commenters will win $15 gift certificates to Lil’ Inker Designs!

Love the idea on your second card. The vellum muted the already subtle stamped base card. I love it! Maybe I should try this out, too!
