The Rabbit Hole Designs August Release!

Good morning! Today I’m sharing a card using products from the August release from The Rabbit Hole Designs!

I decided to pair Balloon Animals 2 with one of my favorite older sets from The Rabbit Hole Designs – Otterly Adore. I stamped the otter, some undersea greenery, coral, and the cute crab balloon and colored them with copics. I used R30, R32, R35, R37, R39, and R89 for the crab and coral, E71, E74, E77, and E79 for the otter, and G21 and G24 for the greenery. Once I finished coloring I die-cut all the images with the coordinating dies.

Next I created my ocean background! I used the Making Waves stencil to mask off the ocean floor and blended it with Antique Linen and Tea Dye distress oxide inks. Then I used Chipped Sapphire, Uncharted Mariner, Peacock Feathers, and Salvaged Patina distress oxide inks for the water. I splattered the panel with water and copic opaque white ink and set it aside to dry.

Once it was dry I arranged all the elements on the background and adhered them with a mix of liquid glue and ATG adhesive. I also added a little piece of twine for my balloon thread. Finally I added a thin layer of nuvo crystal glaze over the entire crab balloon to give it a little extra shine!
