Good morning! I’m so excited to be a stop on the hop for the fantastic October release from Waffle Flower! Here’s a quick look at all the fabulous products they’re releasing this month! I’ll be sharing lots more soon but today I’ve got a sparkly autumn shaker using the adorable Happy Fall and Fall Greetings sets from Cassie Loizeaux!
You guys…that mouse! I adore him!! I kinda feel like he’s my spirit animal! Ha! So to start I stamped him, his mug, and the banner onto white cardstock with no-line ink using my MISTI. Then I colored them with polychromos colored pencils! I kept the shading simple because I knew there’d be a lot going on with the other elements of the card! Once I was finished coloring I placed the panel back inside my MISTI, re-stamped the images with versamark and heat-embossed them with gold tinsel embossing powder before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies!
Next I die-cut a panel of white cardstock with the Stitched Layers dies. I blended distress oxide inks in Wild Honey, Candied Apple, and Gathered Twigs onto the smaller panel. I splattered that panel with water and added a few heat-embossed leaves from Happy Fall! Then I lined the two panels up on another A2 panel and used the outer panel as a guide for adhering my inner panel to the A2 panel. Next I applied acetate behind the outer panel and added a double layer of foam mounting tape. I filled the shaker with a mixture of seed beads, sequins, and confetti in autumnal colors with pops of metallic gold! Then I placed the A2 panel over the acetate panel and sealed the shaker! Finally I just added my banner, mouse, and his mug to finish the card!!
