Altenew October 2019 Stencil and Washi Tape Release Blog Hop (VIDEO + Giveaway!)

3 Oct

Good morning!  I’m so excited to be hopping along to celebrate the October stencil and washi tape release from Altenew!  I’ve got four different projects, a quick video, and a giveaway to share so let’s get started!

First I have two simple washi tape projects to share!  I love the beautiful washi tapes Altenew carries and how simple it is to use them to create striking designs!

Thank You by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Altenew

So yeah, this card could not be simpler but it looks like it took hours, right?!  I just applied that gorgeous Calming Bouquet washi tape to an A2 card base and then added my sentiment.  I die-cut the Simply: Thank You die from black cardstock two times and a bright red cardstock that matches the center of the flowers and layered the colors together at a slight offset.  Then I adhered them to finish the card!

Hello by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Altenew

My second card also looks like it took me hours, but nope…just the application of some gorgeous tape! 😉 I applied the Vibrant Spray washi tape to the top and bottom of an A2 panel.  Then I die-cut the Simply Hello sentiment die three times from white cardstock and layered them together before adhering them to my card panel.  It’s hard to see in photos but I love the white on white look!

Now for something a little different!  The Classic Pine stencils A and B are such a fabulous holiday staple!  I started by blending Glitz Glitter Gel in Turquoise Sea over the Classic Pine Stencil A on black cardstock and let it dry.  Once it was totally dry I blended Glitz Glitter Gel in Gold over the Classic Pine Stencil B.  While that was drying I die-cut my sentiment from red cardstock using the Bold Alpha die set.  Once the gel was totally dry I adhered my sentiment with foam mounting tape to finish the card!

Hello by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Altenew

I have a quick video to share today for my final card!  I used a little swipe embossing and ink blending with distress oxides to add glittery gold accents to my card!  You can watch the video below or at my YouTube channel!

And that’s it!  Head over to check out the rest of the fabulous October release from Altenew and let me know your favorites!

To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to six lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog by October 8th, 2019 for a chance to win. Six winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on October 12th, 2019.

And, there’s even more good news! 😉 EVERY stop on the hop is giving away a $15 gift certificate so the more you comment, the more chances you have to win!  Please leave your comments by 11:59PM EST on October 8th and the winner will be announced on the Altenew blogs!

You should have arrived from Keeway and Jen is your next stop!  You can also find the full hop list on the Altenew Card Blog!

If you’ve gotten all the way to the end of my super long post, thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the hop!  If this is your first time at my blog I hope you’ll consider subscribing via the sidebar on the right or visiting me on Youtube or Instagram!  Have a fabulous crafty week, friends! 🙂

Wonderful cards! I’ve got to get some of the washi tape. I have so many birthday cards to make each year. The tape will make it easier and fun to use.

Hard to believe the first two designs are made with washi tape! Love the offset red shadow on the first sentiment for an unexpected pop of color. That Glitz Gel is oh so sparkly and looks beautiful on the pinecones.

I love when you make a card that looks like it took hours but it didn’t. It’s all in the manipulation of the products. Great job.
