I have a video for today’s one layer card that you can watch below or at my YouTube channel:

I thought the images in this set would be perfect for an extra long 4″ by 8″ card!

To start I stamped some of the images from Merry Mail onto white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder before coloring them with copics.  After I finished coloring I fussy cut my images and then created a background for my extra long scene. I blended tumbled glass, broken china, chipped sapphire, and black soot distress ink onto the panel and set it with my heat gun. Then I spritzed it with clear iridescent spray, blotted off the excess, and flicked it with white acrylic paint.

When it was dry I trimmed it down to a 4 by 8 inch panel, stamped the sentiment with versamark, and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder.  Then I colored in the area behind the strings of my parachutes with copic markers that mostly matched my distress inked background.  Next I used white pigment ink to stamp the solid and stitched outline clouds across the panel for a subtle pattern.  I used foam dots to adhere the stamped images to my card and then added accents with a white gel pen, spectrum noir clear sparkle, and nuvo crystal glaze to finish the card!

Thanks so much for visiting and have an amazing weekend!
