5 for 5 Easter: Day 1 and a giveaway!

16 Mar

Happy Monday and welcome to Day 1 of our new 5 for 5 Easter Blog Hop!  I was very honored to be asked to join the group for this hop and I look forward to sharing Easter inspiration with you over the next few days!  Each day our five designers will post an Easter project based on that day’s theme.  Today’s theme is one that is near and dear to my heart, bunnies!  Some of us are offering prizes (including me!), so make sure to hop to each designer and leave comments!

Here are the links for the other designers!  Giveaway info is at the bottom of my post!

  • Donna Bowman – http://www.donnascraftyplace.com
  • Rachel Kleinman – http://www.rwkrafts.com
  • Lynn Kopas – http://www.lynnkopas.blogspot.com
  • Kris Lancaster – http://www.klcardcollection.blogspot.com
  • Jessica Frost-Ballas – https://www.allthesparkle.com

My card is not an original idea…but it’s one of my favorite Easter cards that I see in stores every year!  I used the Lawn Fawn Eggstra Special Easter and stamped the two bunnies in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I colored the bunnies and their bows with copic markers and added a little clear wink of stella to the bows.  Ha, I intentionally tried to color the bunnies to look like chocolate bunnies otherwise it’s a little disturbing that one is missing an ear! 😉

I die-cut some grass with the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border die and adhered it over the bunnies.  Next, I stamped the sentiments using Lawn Fawn A Birdie Told Me for the speech bubbles, Eggstra Special Easter, and Jessie’s ABCs.  And finally I cut the pink border with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles die set and adhered the pieces to a top-folding white card.

And just for fun, here is my cute bunny, Cookie!

cookieGIVEAWAY:

At the end of the hop I will be selecting one random commenter to win a fun spring-themed package full of fun stamping goodies!  Every comment will earn you a chance to win so make sure and stop by everyday!  This giveaway is open to US and international commenters!

Thanks for visiting and get hopping!! 🙂

Your card is precious and so is Cookie! Does she like to snuggle? Do you let her out much?

Vickey, yes my bunny is quite spoiled! She has a bedroom pretty much to herself and lives in a carpeted pen. When we’re home she has free range of the house and she can often be found chasing the dogs or cat around. She rules the herd…all of our pets are afraid of her! 😉

Cookie… as in OREO?! What a cutie! And yes, it’s a good thing they’re chocolate or it WOULD be disturbing to have a bunny with a bite out of his ear (cover your eyes, Cookie!).

Ha ha yes, she was a rescue bunny but I believe she was named for her similar coloring to an oreo cookie! 😉 We had already named our other bunny Nestle so we thought Cookie and Nestle were a great duo! 🙂
