CASometry Challenge 2 – Make 5: stage 3

1 Jun

Don’t forget to enter my 2nd Blogiversary Giveaway for a chance to win $50 to the crafty store of your choice!  You can find that post by clicking here!

Good morning!  I’m back for the third stage of Anna Kossakovskaya’s CASometry Challenge 2 – Make 5!  You can find my first cards here and here!  For this card I decided to go a little bolder in color than my previous cards but worked hard to keep it CAS! 🙂

I wanted to do a lot of black and white with just a little bit of bright color!  I stamped the large flower on a piece of watercolor paper with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder before masking it with a post it note.  Next I stamped the seed pods and leaves with versafine and also heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder.  I masked off the leaves and seed pods and stamped a few flower clusters with versafine but did not heat-emboss them.  Then I colored the the flowers, leaves, and seed pods with a zig clean color real brush marker and blended them with a spectrum noir clear sparkle brush.  I think I need to replace my spectrum noir clear sparkle marker because it wasn’t flowing as smoothly as it normally does but I think it did an okay job.  I stamped the sentiment with versafine, heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder, and then added a few black sequins to finish the card.

This card gave me an idea for the next stage of CASometry…I’ll get started on that soon! 😉  Thanks so much for visiting and have a wonderful day!

Hi Jess, don’t know how I missed this one. Pretty, pretty! I’m afraid of my Zig’s, I have to practice a little more I guess to get comfortable with them. TFSAI.
