I shared this card using the kit over on the Hero Arts blog this weekend:

And today I’m sharing a card using two of the add-on dies!

Happy Adventuring by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero Arts

I just love that little camper fancy die so I started off by die-cutting it with white cardstock.  Then I used copics to color it.  I separated some of the pieces that pop out for easier coloring and then fit them back in.  I also removed the windows and added vellum behind them.  I stamped a sentiment from Camp in the Wild onto white cardstock with intense black ink and trimmed it down to a fishtail banner.

Happy Adventuring by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero Arts

Next I blended wilted violet, shaded lilac, and spun sugar distress oxide ink over a piece of strathmore bristol cardstock.  I set it with my heat gun and then die-cut the forest sunset fancy die with black cardstock and layered the ink blended panel behind it.  I added my camper and sentiment with foam mounting tape and finished the card by adding a little crystal glaze to the windows.

And that’s it!

To celebrate the release Hero Arts is giving away one July My Monthly Hero kit as a prize to one blog reader selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win!  If you win and have already purchased the kit you will be reimbursed!  Please comment before 11:59PM EST on Sunday, May 7th!  Here’s a list of all the stops on the hop:

FYI, you have the wrong date in the section about commenting for a prize. It currently says May 7th. Thought you would want to know, though I’m sure everyone will realize you meant July 🙂

Ms. Jess, that is the best Halloween moon EVER! A beautiful card, but I am IN LOVE with the scenic kit. We picked cattails as a child and I thank you for those memories and to Hero Arts for this beautiful set! Really hoping to win ♡♡

Thanks for the wonderful card using the circular die. I guess it is a moon but it could just be a little scene all on its own too.

Your cards are super Jess! My fave is the trailer with the moon as it is just up our alley to take our small trailer off the beaten path & hideaway. Beautiful blending & colours for both cards. I think this is my favourite kit so far.
