Christmas Card Challenges #49: Anything Goes (+ a giveaway!)

8 Nov

Good afternoon!  It’s an Anything Goes week over at Christmas Card Challenges so I hope you’ll play along!  Here’s what I created!

I wanted to focus on that beautiful deer die from Memory Box so I kept the rest of the card fairly simply.  I die-cut the deer from silver cardstock and then used the non-stitched edge of the Lawn Fawn Hillside Border dies to cut white cardstock for snowy hills.  I stamped the sentiment from Mama Elephant and heat-embossed it with silver powder.  I also added a little diamond embellishment for the dot over the ‘j.’  Finally I ran my dark blue cardstock through a Lil’ Inker cover plate die to create my background.  I offset the blue panel on my white cardbase for a little variation and then adhered all of my layers over it.  The top layer is adhered with foam mounting tape for a little dimension!

I look forward to seeing your holiday cards this week!  To get your creative juice flowing, don’t forget to visit the rest of the design team!

Jess, I love cards that are simple but make such a big impression, they’re my favorite type of card yet so hard to make and you nailed it. I absolutely love the deer, gotta have it, lol. The acts of kindness stamp set has beautiful sentiments, it’s a must have in your stash. Unfortunatly everyone has a time in their life where they need someone to show them some kindness, a card, flowers, a hug. Thanks for sharing, inspiring and the chance to win.

    The card is beautiful.
The silhouette of the big-antlered deer is great.
The card speaks cold, winter weather.
