Christmas Card Challenges #8: Anything Goes

This week the Christmas Card Challenge is Anything Goes!  My card was created with the intent of also sharing it on the most recent Curtain Call challenge.  I loved the color palette inspiration they provided and thought of a fun way to incorporate both challenges!

Here’s my card!

Definitely a little non-traditional as far as holiday colors go but I love the pop of hot pink!  I cut the snowflakes from the WPlus9 Snowflake Trio and the Simon Says Stamp Funky Snowflake dies in Simon Says Stamp cardstock in Doll Pink and Surf Blue and Neenah Desert Storm cardstock.  The card base is Simon Says Stamp Soft Navy cardstock with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink blended onto the edges.

I die-cut the tag from the Mama Elephant Tags A Lot die set in Simon Says Stamp Soft Navy cardstock.  I cut apart the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Winter Blooms set so that I could stamp the words on top of each other rather than side by side and then heat-embossed the sentiment with Hero Arts white embossing powder.  Finally I attached the snowflakes using Ranger multi-medium matte and foam mounting tape to give it different dimension.  The tag is adhered with foam mounting tape and is embellished with a small bow tied from several strands of bright white thread.  It’s a year away but I already know EXACTLY who will receive this card! 😉
