Here’s what I created using the March My Monthly Hero kit and the add-on set, Egg-Cellent:

Our Friendship is Always in Season by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero Arts

March is the start of another coloring challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin of The Daily Marker and everyday I’ve tried to set aside some time to color stamped images.  Some will eventually make it into cards and some are just for practice.  This is what I colored on the second day of the challenge and as you can see, they did end up on a card! 😉

I stamped all of the images from the kit onto white cardstock with copic-friendly ink and then colored them with copics.  I used the coordinating dies to cut out all the images and then used a craft knife to carefully cut out the inside of the basket so I could tuck the veggies inside!

Our Friendship is Always in Season by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero Arts

I stamped the sentiment from Egg-Cellent onto the chocolate textured cardstock that’s included in the kit and trimmed it down to a label.  I adhered it to a piece of white cardstock cut to 4″x5.25″ with foam mounting tape and then adhered the white cardstock to a card base.  Then I built up my scene with the various gardening supplies, veggies, and fruits using a mixture of regular adhesive and foam mounting tape for a little more dimension.  I love the look of the overflowing basket filled with lots of fresh goodies!

giveawayTo celebrate the release Hero Arts is giving away one kit as a prize to one blog reader selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win!  If you win and have already purchased the kit you will be reimbursed!  Here’s a list of all the stops on the hop:

It would make me a nervous wreck to do all of that coloring work to end up making a cutting mistake while die cutting it. Obviously you know what you’re doing!
