Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #79: Interactive

Good morning!  It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics challenge and it’s one of my favorites!! I can’t wait to see all the amazing cards you will create!! 🙂

I decided to break out the Magic Picture Changer interactive die to create a romantic summer night scene between the cute fox and bunny couple!

To start I stamped the fox from Upon a Star onto white cardstock and then masked him off before stamping the bunny.  I colored them both with copic markers concentrating my shading on the bottom of the images as if the stars in the sky were reflecting down on their heads.  I used the following markers:

• Fox – E40, E70, E71, E74, E77, E79, 100
• Bunny – R02, W00, W0, W2, W4, W6, W7

Next I did all my ink blending for the various parts of my interactive card!  I blended faded jeans, blueprint sketch, chipped sapphire, and black soot onto all the panels of strathmore bristol cardstock and splattered them with water and white gouache.  Then I set them aside to dry completely.

I stamped all the stars from Upon a Star using Delicata Gold Glitz ink and colored some in with a gold gel pen.  I wish I had thought to blend the pull tab a little darker and add a few constellations and stars on it as well but I think it’s okay as is.  The Delicata pigment ink is beautifully shimmery and vibrant but does take awhile to set so make sure you set it aside to dry so it doesn’t smear!

Once everything was dry I assembled my magic picture changer!  Then I die-cut a stitched hill from black cardstock and stamped the sentiment from Upon a Star.  I adhered it over the magic picture changer with foam mounting tape so it wouldn’t interfere with the mechanism and then finished the card by adding my critter couple!  At first they’re both just making a wish upon a star but when you pull the tab you’ll see the cute heart constellation! 😉
