Lawnscaping Challenge #130: Sparkle It Up!

16 May

Good morning!  It’s time for a new Lawnscaping Challenge and we’re challenging you to add some sparkle to your entries!!  You can use embossing glitter, sequins, glitter, sparkly markers or paint, foil…there are tons of options for adding sparkle to your card!

Our fabulous friends at Lawn Fawn are sponsoring this challenge and one lucky winner will win a stamp set of your choice!!  You know, I LOVE sparkle so this was an exciting challenge for me…I decided to incorporate sparkle three ways in a baby card!

I started by painting salty ocean, peacock feathers, and mermaid lagoon distress ink onto a piece of watercolor.  Once it was totally dry I inked it with versamark and heat-embossed it with holographic embossing powder.  Next I stamped the fish and scenery onto watercolor paper with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder.  I colored them with zig clean color real brush markers and blended them with a spectrum noir clear sparkle brush.  Next I die-cut silver glitter paper to create sand for my aquarium and adhered all of the elements together.  I used my MISTI to ink the sentiment with two different Lawn Fawn inks and finished it with a few clear droplets.

Head over to the Lawnscaping blog to get all the details on the challenge and see the stunning creations from the rest of the design team!  I look forward to seeing what you will create!  Thanks so much for visiting and have a great Monday!
