I was really looking forward to today’s Online Card Class topic and the teachers definitely didn’t let me down! The topic was watercoloring and we got three fabulous tutorials. I’ll probably revisit day 3 on Thursday and do the other techniques but I wanted to share my first attempt at Dawn Woleslagle’s tutorial for watercoloring from a stamped image. I am in absolute awe of the beautiful watercolors that Dawn creates and I was so excited to see her video today! I stuck very closely to her instructions and I am so pleased with the results! I used the Woodland Wreaths set from WPlus9 and several distress inks.
The only thing I really changed was I used a different sentiment and my ultra high clear embossing powder to get a more raised effect on the word ‘merry.’ I also scored the card base to give a little interest to the white card. Again, if you’re at all interested in card-making I HIGHLY recommend checking out the Online Card Classes. You won’t regret it!
