Pinkfresh Studio Watercolor Blog Hop (+GIVEAWAYS!)

Good morning!  I am thrilled to be celebrating the new liquid watercolors release from Pinkfresh Studio!!  These watercolors are ridiculously vibrant and the colors are gorgeous!  I had a lot of fun playing with them this weekend and you’ll be seeing more from me in the future! 😉 But I didn’t want to take up too much of your time today so I’m just sharing one card!  Make sure to read all the way to the bottom of my post for information on several giveaways!!

Aren’t those colors GORGEOUS?!  I wanted to see how the colors moved on the paper so I tape a piece of watercolor to a piece of hardboard and tried out some ombre washes.  I started with the lightest color and blended Sky Blue, Sapphire, Lavender, and Licorice across the panel.  I blotted off the excess and let it dry.  Meanwhile I stamped the sentiment from Constellation onto black cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder before trimming it down to a label.

Once the panel was dry I splattered white acrylic paint across the paper to create stars in the distance.  I let it dry and then added additional stars with a white gel pen.  Next I die-cut the constellations from the coordinating die set and spread liquid glue across the top of the dies.  I sprinkled them with white glitter and let them dry.  Once the glue dried I added the sentiment with foam mounting tape and then adhered the stars and constellations to finish the card! 🙂
