Shaker Week Day 4!

16 Jul

Good morning and thanks for stopping by the Shaker Week!  If you’ve missed my previous posts you can find them here, here, and here!  Don’t forget to comment each day for the change to win a $10 gift certificate to The Ton Stamps so you can pick out some gorgeous beads, sequins, and gems for your shaker cards!

So for today’s card I went in a slightly more subdued direction…

I was searching through my stamp sets for ideas and found this lovely Meadow Greens stamp set from Papertrey Ink.  I’ve only used it once or twice and I forgot how beautiful it is!  I stamped the stem, leaf, and greens with Hero Arts Forever Green dye ink onto a piece of Simon Says Stamp cream cardstock.  I stamped the petals once with Delicata Golden Glitz ink and then a second time with Hero Arts Unicorn White pigment ink which I heat-embossed with Hero Arts white embossing powder.  I let the gold ink dry before stamping in white so the powder wouldn’t stick to the gold ink.  I stamped the sentiment with Golden Glitz ink and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder.  To finish the background panel I dripped a little Hero Arts gold shimmer spray onto the cardstock and then glued a few sequins onto the panel.

I die-cut a frame from Simon Says Stamp Midnight Green cardstock and then filled the shaker with Waltz White and Medallion Gold sequins from The Ton as well as a variety of gold and white seed beads.  I adhered the background panel to the shaker and then mounted that onto a cardbase of Cream cardstock.  The gold, cream, and dark green mix is really elegant and I just adore that sentiment! 🙂  Thanks so much for visiting today and don’t forget to comment for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to The Ton!  See you tomorrow!
