More from the Simon Says Stamp Believe in You Release!

28 Jul

Good morning!  I’m back to share another card using products from the Simon Says Stamp Believe in You release!  This is also a friendly reminder that you’ve got one more day to hop along on the TWO day inspirational release blog hop for a chance to win $25 at EVERY hop stop! 😉 Today I’m sharing a rainbow bright card using the versatile Stripe Jumble background stamp!

Birthday Wishes Cupcake

To start I stamped the Stripe Jumble background stamp onto a piece of white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Then I took a rainbow of copic markers (RV25, R35, YR65, Y32, YG41, BG23, B23, and V12 to be exact) and colored the stripes to create a vibrant background!  I trimmed the panel down to 4″ by 5.25″ and adhered it to a black A2 card panel.

Birthday Wishes Cupcake

Next I stamped the cute cupcake and sentiment from Birthday Sweets onto white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder.  I colored the cupcake with copics and then die-cut both of them with the coordinating dies.  Then I die-cut a vellum rectangle with the Wonky Rectangle dies to mute the background just a touch.  I adhered the cupcake and sentiment to the vellum panel with foam mounting tape.  Then I turned the vellum panel over and added ATG adhesive where the die-cuts would hide it from view.  I also added a little liquid adhesive along the stitching edge before adhering it to the striped background.  Finally I finished the cupcake with a little nuvo crystal glaze and a sprinkling of chunky and prisma glitter!  You can never have enough sprinkles on your cupcakes! 😉

And that’s it!  Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Love your coloring on the striped jumble background stamp. The vellum is a great idea to have the colors come through. Very effective!
