Simon Says Stamp One of a Kind Release Blog Hop (VIDEO+GIVEAWAY!)

24 Jun

Good morning!  I am so excited to be helping Simon Says Stamp celebrate their One of a Kind release this weekend!  The hop started yesterday and continues today for even more inspiration!  Have you checked out the release yet?  Go ahead…I’ll wait! 😉

You're So Cool by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Simon Says Stamp

I LOVE the Artsy Fruits and So Cool sets and thought it would be fun to combine them to create some summery melon popsicles!  I also created a video tutorial that you can watch below or at my Youtube channel!

I used BOTH sides of the watermelon stamps to create watermelons and canteloupes and then stamped the outline of the popsicle stamp to create popsicles.  Then I stamped the back of the rind stamp to create rinds for my melon popsicles.  I fussy cut the popsicles and added a little shading with copic markers!  I added two layers of ultra high embossing powder to give the popsicles a super shiny look!  Then I blended a little ink onto my background panel and added flecks of black distress ink.  I adhered my popsicles and sentiment with foam mounting tape and then added a sprinkling of sparkling clear sequins to finish the card!
You're So Cool by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Simon Says Stamp

And that’s it!  Now I can’t decide what I want to eat…a popsicle or a big slice of fresh canteloupe…hmmm… 😉

And what’s a hop without a giveaway, right?  Simon Says Stamp has generously offered a $25 gift card to EVERY stop on the hop!!  All you need to do is visit and leave a comment on each blog.  The winners will be randomly selected from each blog and announced on the Simon Says Stamp blog!   In case you encounter a broken link here is the full hop list:

Fabulous card! Those popsicles look good enough to eat. I love how you made the cantaloupe version by flipping the stamp over – great way to stretch the stamp.

I love that you made one of the popsicles a watermelon. When we have summer parties, we cut up the watermelon into wedges and put them on a popsicle stick. I keeps your hands from getting sticky. Great job.
