To Think Of You Is To Smile + a Giveaway!

3 Nov

CRAFTY DESTASH – I’ve updated my destash items.  You can see all of the items here and you can click on the individual photos to open up the photo in Instagram.  Alternatively you can follow my destash account on Instagram @jesscraftydestash!  Happy shopping!

So yesterday I shared a card using a sentiment from Concord and 9th and today I’m sharing a trio of cards using the rest of the Love You. Mean It. stamp set! 🙂

But before I get to that, a quick update on my daily happy mail goal.  If you missed my last post I’ve committed to blogging daily through the month of November AND sending out at least one card every day this month!  I’m hoping to get all the cards out that I’ve promised before the end of the year…and I’m definitely hoping to get at least a few cards in return! 😉  I’ve got three cards headed out in the mail today!

November 2015 Total Cards Mailed: 6

IMG_0849 copy

Anyway, back to my cards…

Looking at the stamp set I knew I wanted to create a modern interpretation of a wreath, so I started off by heat-embossing the circles and sentiment with gold tinsel powder.  Next I used Mama Elephant pigment inks in Lollipop and Sunshine and Memento Luxe pigment ink in Morocco to stamp the flowers.  The floral aspect of each wreath is designed a little differently.

I let the pigment inks dry for a few hours and then I stamped the little greenery sprigs and heat-embossed them with the same gold tinsel embossing powder.  To finish the cards I die-cut the panel with one of the Mama Elephant scalloped frames and mounted them to matching colored cardstock bases!

These will be heading out in the mail later this week as part of Jennifer McGuire’s Share Handmade Kindness challenge!  If you haven’t heard about it I encourage you to visit her blog and check it out!

Also, before I forget, I really appreciate all of my new blog subscribers!  You guys are awesome!  Thanks so much for visiting and I’ll see you tomorrow!

Giveaway:

I ordered an extra of the new Hero Arts Acts of Kindness stamp set that was designed for Jennifer’s challenge and I would love to find it a good home!  Leave a comment on any of my blog posts between November 1st and 10th for a chance to win.  You can comment everyday for a total of 10 entries and I’ll announce a winner on November 11th!
