United We Flourish: Sweet Sprinkles Blog Hop (+GIVEAWAYS!)

17 Dec

Good morning!  I’m so thrilled to be sharing the newest Ellen Hutson United We Flourish collaboration: Sweet Sprinkles with Concord & 9th!!

I love all these sweet treat images but I decided to focus in on those cute sprinkles for my card today!

United We Flourish Sweet Sprinkles

I started by placing the sprinkles border stamp on the lid of my MISTI and then I inked it with pigment inks and stamped it on a white card base.  I was able to simply slide my cardstock up inside the MISTI, clean off the stamp, reink it, and stamp again!  Once my background was complete I set it aside to dry for a few minutes while I worked on the sentiment.

United We Flourish Sweet Sprinkles

I stamped the sentiment on aqua cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder.  Then I trimmed it down to a label and adhered it to the panel with foam mounting tape. Finally I created a few enamel drops by squeezing nuvo drops onto my craft mat.  I let them dry overnight and then peeled them off.  I arranged them onto my card and adhered them with glossy accents!  I love the simplicity but bright colors of this card and it could be easily replicated with different color palettes.  I was thinking that a milk, dark, and white chocolate sprinkle theme could be great for a masculine birthday card! Or rainbow sprinkles!! 🙂

Thanks so much for visiting and have a wonderful day!

To celebrate the new release two randomly selected commenters will win a $30 gift card to Ellen Hutson and two randomly selected commenters will win a $30 gift card to Concord & 9th!  To enter, leave a comment on the CLASSroom blog and the Concord and 9th blog by 12PM PST on December 26th! 😉  Here are the rest of the stops on the hop:

Hi Jess, I really like the bright, cheerful layers of your sprinkles, very colourful, your idea for the swop ups sound good, would love to see you do rainbow sprinkles with a few Nuvo drips in the same colours, great card & great future ideas x

Really great card and shows the versatility of this stamp set. I wouldn’t have thought of only using the sprinkles and it’s a great idea! Super cute.

Pretty cool card. Except for the sentiment I was thinking it would work during this celebration season as confetti.
