Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #19: Use Your Favorite Lawn Fawn

18 Dec

Good morning!  It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics challenge and we’re finishing up the year with a fun one, use your favorite Lawn Fawn!  That’s right…anything’s game! 😉  Here’s what I created:

Sending Warm Wishes by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Lawn Fawnatics

It was incredibly difficult to pick a favorite Lawn Fawn set so I decided to choose from my favorite sets released in 2017 and hands-down one of my favorites was the adorable fox from Upon a Star!  I decided to create a fairly CAS card with a watercolored night sky and lots of white die-cutting!  I started by stamping my fox and coloring him with copics before die-cutting him with the coordinating die.  Then I die-cut the snowy hill from white cardstock, stamped the sentiment, and heat-embossed it with silver embossing powder.  I also die-cut the mini snowflakes from white cardstock and set everything aside while I worked on the background.

I wet a piece of bristol cardstock and then dropped distress ink onto the damp surface.  I used black soot, chipped sapphire, seedless preserves, and stormy sky.  I allowed the colors to blend together and move organically around the page which resulted in lighter and darker areas.  I let it dry for a while and then flicked it with copic opaque white paint.  Once that was dry I adhered it to a white card base and then added my fox and hill.  Finally I finished the card by adding the snowflakes to the night sky.

And now it’s your turn!  We want to see your Lawn Fawn projects!  You can link up your entries on the Lawn Fawnatics blog and I can’t wait to see what you’ll create!  Thanks so much for visiting and have an amazing Monday!
