Layer Stenciled Birthday Card – Waffle Flower April Release Blog Hop (+GIVEAWAYS!)

5 Apr

Good morning!  I’m so excited to be a stop on the hop for the April release from Waffle Flower!  Here’s what I created today using some of the adorable new birthday products!!

To start I blended squeezed lemonade, dried marigold, picked raspberry, and abandoned coral distress oxide ink onto a panel of strathmore bristol smooth cardstock.  Next I placed the one of the Confetti Duo stencils onto my panel and applied a thin layer of moonstone glimmer paste through the stencil.  I let it dry and then flipped the stencil and applied another layer of moonstone glimmer paste.  Once that was dry I applied a layer of gold glitter paste through the second stencil from the Confetti Duo.  I let that dry and then flipped the stencil one final time and applied a layer of gold mousse through the stencil to create lots of glittery dimension!

I adore the Birthday Kitties so I stamped one and the gift boxes with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder.  I colored them with copic markers and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies.  Once my stenciled panel was totally dry I adhered it to a top folding card base.  I adhered my stamped images with foam mounting tape and then added a little spectrum noir clear sparkle to the gift boxes and hat to finish the card!

And that’s it for today!  I’d love to know your favorite products from the April release!!

To celebrate the blog hop, Waffle Flower is giving away $25 gift certificates to THREE lucky winners. You can leave a comment on this blog and along the hop by 11:59pm ET on Monday, April 12th, 2021 for your chance to win. Winners will be chosen at random from the comments left on any of the posts in this blog hop and will be announced on the Waffle Flower blog on April 14th, 2021. You should have arrived from Jeanne and JJ is your next stop!

Thanks so much for visiting, enjoy the hop, and have a fantastic day!

That’s adorable and I love the way you colored the black kitty. I always have trouble coloring black cats without making them look like a silhouette of a cat.

Your card is adorable and I’m a dog person! 🙂 I’m loving the stitched diamond panel dies. I think there are many possibilities for those and I like the clean and classic shape.
