Good morning! I am so excited to be a stop on the hop celebrating the fabulous May release from Waffle Flower Stamps! Today I’m sharing a card using the beautiful Wild Roses stamp set!
To start I stamped the flowers and foliage from Wild Roses onto watercolor paper with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. Then I watercolored them with Mission Gold watercolors. After laying down a few layers of paint I went back in with a dark purple paint to add some contrast and shadow. I’m always a little nervous adding such dark tones to my projects but I love the results afterwards!! I die-cut them with the coordinating dies and added a few accents with a white gel pen.
Next I painted an ombre watercolor background using a hot pink paint to match the bright flowers. I splattered it with water and let it dry before adhering it to a top-folding card base. I stamped the sentiment from Sentiment Labels onto white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder before die-cutting it with the coordinating die. Then I adhered the flowers and sentiment to the ombre panel with a mix of regular adhesive and foam mounting tape. Finally I finished the card with a few white and clear enamel dots and a little crystal glaze on the flower centers!
