I am so excited to be joining the fabulous Winnie and Walter design team to celebrate their newest release as the November Leading Lady! This release is full of absolutely adorable stamps and it was hard deciding what to share today! You’ll have to check out my final Leading Lady post next week for the rest of my release creations! 😉
I’ve recently started using my colored pencils and I’ve fallen in love with the look of colored pencils on kraft cardstock!
I stamped the bird, branch, and ornament from Happy Owlidays with Evelin T Designs onto kraft cardstock with black ink. Then I die-cut the kraft cardstock with the largest tag die from Essentials: Carly Cutaways. I colored the images with my polychromos colored pencils and a derwent blender. I also applied a little glossy accents to the top of the bird’s hat and the top of the ornament and pinecones and sprinkled it with rock candy distress glitter for a little snow!
I stamped the sentiment from Happy Owlidays with Evelin T Designs with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. I also stamped some of the snowflakes from Season’s Tweetings with Evelin T Designs with versamark and heat-embossed them with white embossing powder. I added more snow with a white gel pen and finally I finished the tag with red and white baker’s twine and a red jingle bell. I just adore that little bird…you’ll definitely see him again soon! 😉

I confess that I’m still struggling with pencils, I know I need to use a softer touch to build up the layers but the “knowing” is much easier than the “doing”, so more practice is on my to-do list, especially with Kraft
