Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop (and giveaway!)

11 Dec

Good morning!!  I’m so excited to be sharing a card for the Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop as a member of the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Design Team!  Over the next 8 days (December 11-18th) crafters from all over the world will be linking up their newly created coffee, tea, and cocoa card creations in a massive blog hop!  We have some fabulous sponsors and flash sponsors who will be offering prizes throughout the blog hop and we also have prizes for superstar commenters who leave some love on all the entries!  For more information or to link up your card head here!

Since this is our holiday-themed hop I wanted to create a Christmas-y coffee card!

wintercoffeehop1

I actually stopped by Starbucks yesterday to pick up a latte to keep me company while I was crafting and I saw that adorable espresso mug.  I don’t actually drink espresso but I had to bring one home anyway.  And while I was looking at it I decided it would make a fun design for a card!  To create this card I used dies from Memory Box and Concord & 9th to make a branch of a Christmas tree.  I die-cut the mug from a My Favorite Things stamp set and then added the gold embossed hearts with a heart stamp from Concord & 9th!  I added some antique linen distress ink to the mug to give it a little shading and then “hung” it from my branch with foam mounting tape.  I didn’t have a Starbucks logo stamp but thought the die-cut poinsettia would be holiday appropriate!  I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment from My Favorite Things and added a strip of red glitter paper to the bottom of the card.  To finish the card I added wink of stella glitter and glossy accents to each light bulb and stickles to the center of the poinsettia.  Here’s a closer look at the mug and tree branch!

It’s not a perfect match to my cute mug but it’ll do! 😉

GIVEAWAY:

Anyway, what’s a coffee hop without a giveaway?  You see, that mug was SO cute that I couldn’t just buy one…I had to bring home a second one for a lucky crafty friend.  I will randomly choose one commenter to win that mug and some surprise crafty coffee goodies that I picked out to go with it! 😉  All you have to do is leave some love on any of my coffee posts this week!  However, for extra chances to win you can 1- subscribe to my blog via the sidebar and leave me a comment telling me that you’re a subscriber; 2 – follow me on instagram (@jessicaafrost) and leave me a comment telling me that you’re a follower; or 3 – like my crafty Facebook page (all the sparkle) and leave me a comment telling me that you’ve liked my page!

Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the hop!
