Gina K Designs: Joy of the Season STAMPtember Day 7 (+VIDEO!)

7 Sep

It’s time!!  It’s time!!  The next exclusive STAMPtember collaboration set is here and it’s from the fabulous Gina K Designs!!  This beautiful 6×8 stamp set is called Joy of the Season and is a must-have for your elegant holiday and winter card-making! It is available as an individual stamp set or as a bundle with coordinating dies!

And, of course, I have a video for today’s card that you can watch below or at my Youtube channel!

This is an old crafty technique but one that I think gets forgotten.  It’s definitely one of the messier techniques but produces such pretty results!

Merry and Bright by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Simon Says Stamp

First I stamped the large tree border onto a piece of white cardstock with black ink.  Next I placed a used dryer sheet in my overspray box and sprayed it thoroughly with spray adhesive. I placed the dryer sheet over the stamped panel and smoothed it over the surface. Then while it was still tacky I sprinkled it liberally with prisma glitter. I tapped off the excess and then placed a piece of copy paper over the glitter and burnished it with a bone folder.  I removed the copy paper and let it dry completely.

While that was drying I stamped the sentiment deer with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I trimmed my panel down and adhered it to a black card base. I fussy cut the deer and adhered it to the panel with foam mounting tape. And that’s it!

I just wanted to take a quick minute to thank all of you for your sweet comments on my videos and messages encouraging me to keep it up!  I’ll admit a video a day has been pretty daunting but I’m excited to keep at it!  Thanks so much for visiting and have an amazing day!
