Good morning! It’s time for the second half of the A Blog Named Hero design team to share additional inspiration for our August challenge! This month is all about embossing with our collaboration company, Wow!, and here’s what I created!
I decided to interpret our embossing challenge by using embossing paste with Sparkles premium glitter from Wow! I started by adhering the Glorious Petals stencil to a piece of white cardstock with repositionable spray fixative. Then I applied a thin layer of embossing paste over the stencil and smoothed it with the back of a spatula. I carefully peeled the stencil up and then sprinkled the entire panel with Wow! Sparkles premium glitter in Pumpkin Spice which is a gorgeous mix of metallic browns, golds, and black! I tapped off the excess glitter and then repeated the process to make sure there was glitter all over the embossing paste. I tapped it off again and set it aside to dry completely.
Once it was dried I tapped it vigorously to remove any excess glitter and used a dry paintbrush to wipe away any stray pieces of glitter. Then I die-cut the Thank You die three times using black cardstock and stick-it adhesive and adhered them together to create a thick chipboard-like sentiment. I adhered that to the glitter and added a few black enamel dots to finish the card!
