Good morning! I’m so excited to be hopping along to celebrate the newest and exclusive Kris Lauren Christmas Bears release from Colorado Craft Company! I decided to use two of the new sets, Snow Globe Bear (though technically I didn’t use the bear in the set) and Knitting Bear, to create a card and tag!
To start, I stamped the snow globe and deer duo from Snow Globe Bear and the knitting bear and penguin from Knitting Bear with copic friendly ink and colored them with copics. I colored the background of the snowglobe with copic markers and then stamped and heat-embossed the snow. I used a glittery white embossing powder to create a sparkly effect. I decided that the tag could also be used as an ornament so I stamped the ‘2022’ onto the globe as well before adding the deer and some red and white twine!
For the card, I blended a background using distress oxide inks in shaded lilac, uncharted mariner, chipped sapphire, and black soot. Then I splattered the panel with water and white gouache and set it aside to dry. I tore white cardstock to create a textured snowy ground and added a few accents with copic markers. I adhered it to the blended panel and then popped up the critters with foam mounting tape for a little dimension!
