Good morning and Happy Halloween! Today I’m popping in to share a fun light-up Halloween card using the Chibitronics Craft With Light kit and Heffy Doodle stamps! I created a simple card featuring some cute light up ghosts! I started by die-cutting three ghosts from a panel of black cardstock. Then I stamped the three ghosts onto vellum with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. Before adhering the ghosts I placed the die-cut panel over a second panel of black cardstock and stamped the ghosts in the openings with white pigment ink to use as a reference for my light circuit later. I adhered the vellum pieces behind the openings in the black cardstock and added another layer of vellum to diffuse the Chibitronics stickers a little more. I also stamped a sentiment from Ghoulfriends on to the top right corner of the black cardstock panel and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder.
Next I used the ghosts I stamped earlier as a reference to create a simple parallel circuit. When you press on the sentiment in the top right it lights up the three ghosts and gives them a spooky orange glow!
I finished my card by die-cutting the Lawn Fawn Giant Trick or Treat sentiment from orange cardstock and black glitter cardstock and layered them together with a slight offset. This really helps the black sentiment pop against the black background.
