Christmas Card Challenges #48

1 Nov

CRAFTY DESTASH – I’ve updated my destash items.  You can see all of the items here and you can click on the individual photos to open up the photo in Instagram.  Alternatively you can follow my destash account on Instagram @jesscraftydestash!  Happy shopping!

Good afternoon and welcome back to another Christmas Card Challenge!  This week we have an interesting color inspiration challenge for you…I’m loving these non-traditional palettes!

I’m realizing that it’s the beginning of November and I’m starting to panic about making sure that I have enough holiday cards in my stash…so I’ve definitely got mass-production in mind! 😉  Here’s what I created!

I decided to use the inspiration photo to create two sets of cards using each neutral color along with the teal shades!  I used two different snowflakes sets, one is from the newest Stamp of Approval release and is a design from CASual Fridays stamps and the other one is the Crystal Flurries layered snowflake set from The Ton Stamps!  I stamped the sentiment from Mama Elephant and small snowflakes with pigment inks and heat-embossed them with clear powder.  Then I stamped the larger snowflakes with Hero Arts dye inks!  A simple but striking one layer card…perfect for mass production!

I hope you’ll play along this week…we’d love for you to play along with the color challenge but really, the only rule is that you create a holiday card!

Love the non traditional colors. The snowflakes look like the ones in the SOA collection. Maybe I can case that card & do something similar. Thanks
