Christmas Card Challenges #51: Anything Goes

22 Nov

Don’t forget to comment on the Hero Arts+A Blog Named Hero Holiday Blog Hop for a chance to win one of three November 2015 My Monthly Hero Kits!  Click here for the post!  You have until 11:59PM PST tonight to comment!!

Good afternoon and thanks for stopping by for another Anything Goes week at Christmas Card Challenges!  Recently I’ve been collecting fox stamps and I found another new (to me) company with an adorable fox for today’s card!

The fox is from Poppy Stamps and is part of the Foxy Holiday stamp set!  I stamped the fox and the moon onto white cardstock with copic-friendly ink and then stamped them a second time on masking paper.  I fussy cut the moon and fox and masked them off.  I also cut a hillside from post-it notes and masked off the bottom of my panel.  Next I blended salty ocean, seedless preserves, and chipped sapphire distress ink to create a cold winter sky.  I splattered the sky with a little water mixed with iridescent medium.  Once that was completely dry, I removed the masks.  I colored the moon and fox with copic markers and then heat-embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder.  I decided to trim the panel down and frame it with silver glitter paper before mounting it to a white card base.  To finish off the card I added a little snow with my snow pen!

I hope you’ll play along with the challenge this week!  For even more inspiration, check out what the rest of the design team has created!
